Rune de León explores Latina/o identity through illustration and photography. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Rune is a Chicano Studies student at UC Berkeley, and is the illustrator of Lorena and the Truth of the Lagoon (2024), forthcoming from Eastwind Books.
Through the Lavender Corazón Press, Rune continues to explore themes of belonging and joy using printmaking and illustration. His work draws from a wide range of influences and techniques, embracing a playful aesthetic to explore life between cultures.
